snow day, home day.

yesterday the signs on the freeway warned of a snow storm coming at 4pm. it hasn't stopped. my car is buried and we are trapped in doors.
we have spent hours watching the snow fall.

while listening to a book on tape. Shackleton's Way... it is the story of Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to Antarctica. I don't want to leave my heated house. Can't imagine being stranded on ice for months on end.
and googling if babies can get coldsores. can they? i have never had one. but there sure is a weird little thing on the babes lip.
bottom line googling does not put your mind at ease. well... here's to hoping it is just an infected scratch.

goals for 2013

enjoy more.
enjoy the crying... eventually he will laugh. enjoy the fact that he needs me.. ALL THE TIME.... one day he won't.
desclaimer: it is not that i don't already enjoy my baby... but sometimes life gets in the way and i forget to stop and think and enjoy the small things. the normal things. the daily life things.

be more patient. be a better cleaner. cook more. be more patient (didn't even realize i wrote that twice.... must be extra important.) live in the moment. stop worrying about what is next. start projects. finish projects. keep a journal. document the milestones.

the best year yet.

or at least the most life changing...
